Important Update
May, 2009
Thanks for visiting our website. Unfortunately, due to constraints of limited support and resources, the Forum now ceases to function. However, this is definitely something I want to pursue in the long-run and I will be sure to come back to this failed non-profit start-up in a few years after my graduation from college. Meanwhile, I have also decided to keep our website because I believe some of our online content can still be of interest and help to you.
If you are interested in learning more about myself or the rest of the project ideas, please feel free to let me know. I can be reached by email at hyan812@gmail.com.

Mission Statement
What We Want to Achieve
China Development Youth Forum, launched in the summer of 2007, is an Internet-based student project that intends to inform and educate Chinese and American youth about China's development issues, and to foster the next generation youth leadership for China's social advancement. China Development Youth Forum introduces available online resources and opportunities to interested students to learn more about China's development issues, and to inspire students to come up with innovative solutions to address the problem of increasing environmental and social cost of China's soaring economic growth. China Development Youth Forum connects like-minded young leaders from diverse cultural background, and promotes the youth exchange and multi-understanding between China and the rest of the world.
Additional information could be found in the "About Us" page
Young people represent the hope and future of the world. They are full of vitality, new ideas and creativity. I sincerely hope that the young people in China and the United States will join hands and work to enhance friendship between our two peoples, and, together with people of other countries, create a better world for all.
-- Hu Jintao, Speech at Yale University, 2006
So whether you leave here as a scientist, a writer, an engineer, a business person, or an artist, remember this: you must be a citizen. And it's more important now than ever before, but it has always been the truth that the world you live in is interdependent. You do not exist as a totally separate being in a society.
-- William J. Clinton, University of Michigan Spring Commencement 2007
